Thursday, December 29, 2011 At 21:45 hours The 15 House along with Turbot Township (CO17) was dispatched to the Penn 80 Truck Stop in Turbot Twp. for a tractor trailer fire. Chief 1502 and Fire Police Capt. (Mabus) arrived to find a small fire in the engine compartment of a truck tractor. Fellow truck drivers alerted the driver that was asleep in his bunk that his truck was on fire. The other truck drivers dumped numerous fire extinguishers on the engine but the fire was oil fed and would not go out. Engine 15-1 arrived just behind the townships tanker and assisted them with one line for extinguishment. Crews working on the scene were available in 45 minutes.
